In a piece for Global Banking & Finance Review, Investing.co.uk’s Tobias Robinson shared his views on the 60/40 model, which assumes financial portfolios are comprised of 60% equities and 40% bonds.
Robinson explained that the 60/40 portfolio model wasn’t designed for scenarios where both equities and bonds decline simultaneously. Ultimately, he made clear it’s not obsolete anymore, but it no longer always offers the level of protection many investors expect.
